Her Kansas City to launch October 5th September 23, 2011 Under parent company SouthComm, Inc., The Pitch will launch Her Kansas City on October 5th, 2011. Her Kansas City is an extension of Her Nashville magazine, currently in its third year of publication in the Nashville area. SouthComm acquires Kansas City "Pitch"

SouthComm Inc., the parent of the Nashville Post, announced Friday it has acquired the Kansas City Pitch from Village Voice Media. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

VVM has owned and operated the Pitch since 1999. The alternative weekly, which was founded in 1980, is the third for SouthComm, which also owns the Nashville Scene and LEO in Louisville.
