SouthComm launches Nfocus Louisville, appoints Barry Wooley editor

July 15th, 2010

(Louisville – March 30, 2010) Pam Brooks, Publisher with SouthComm Inc., has appointed Barry Wooley editor of their new monthly magazine, NFocus. Launching in June, off the long-term success of a sister publication in the Nashville area, NFocus will cover the philanthropic efforts of Louisville society, including charitable events and the nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of the Kentuckiana region from an insiders perspective. As well, NFocus will feature columns and stories about art, food, fashion, and the culture of living well in Louisville.

"Barry has been an integral part of the Louisville social scene for the past 25 years, assisting in planning events and raising funds for a variety of organizations, such as March of Dimes, The James Graham Brown Cancer Center, Children's Hospital Foundation, Brandon's House, Zoom Group, The Center for Women and Families, Idea Festival, and Blessings In A Back Pack," says Brooks.

Wooley is a renowned lifestyle designer and President of Barry Wooley Designs, a full service design and event planning company. He was recognized by Business First as one of Louisville's "Forty Under 40" and has received countless awards for his designs.

Wooley is a design expert who is a regular guest on local radio and television stations and hosted his own program, ArtfulLiving With Barry Wooley. His designs have been showcased nationally, and he is a frequent columnist in newspapers and magazines.

"Barry's passion for philanthropy, his in-depth knowledge of the nonprofit community, and creative thinking made him the perfect choice for NFocus," continues Brooks. "We believe his talent with lifestyle design will provide a fresh approach to covering Louisville society, and he is an ideal representative of the many people in our community making a difference in people's lives."

Wooley states, "NFocus will balance sophistication and entertainment, while motivating people to become more active in the community. We want our readers to have a front row seat to the parties and events, all the while educating them on the causes."

NFocus will be available this June at a variety of locations throughout Louisville and southern Indiana, including coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants, medical and cosmetic centers, salons and spas, artistic venues, boutiques, design centers, and gourmet food markets.
